About Anabela Rodrigues
Anabela Rodrigues, MD, PhD, is a consultant nephrologist at the Department of Nephrology, Centro Hospitalar Universitario do Porto (CHUPorto), Portugal. She has headed the Peritoneal Dialysis Unit since 1998.
She is currently President of the National Commission of Dialysis (CNAD), Directorate-General of Health, Ministry of Health.
She is Associated Professor with Aggregation at ICBAS (Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar) and Principal Investigator of Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation Group of UMIB (Unidade Multidisciplinar de Investigação em Biomedicina, ICBAS/UP).
She is a member of the scientific committee of the Portuguese Society of Nephrology.
She also serves as Course Director in ICBAS /UP.
She has a specialization in Management and Direction of Health Services. Porto Business School, University of Porto (UP).
Assoc Professor Rodrigues was a member of the European Guidelines for Best Practice in Peritoneal Dialysis Committee and a member of the Board of the International Society Peritoneal Dialysis.
She is an invited lecturer in international congresses and certificated courses, with active responsibility in doctoral and post-doctoral projects at the University of Porto, with a focus on peritoneal dialysis.
Assoc. Prof. Rodrigues was Vice President of the 2014 international congress of the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis 2014.
She is President of the Group for Studies in Peritoneal Dialysis, from Portuguese Nephrology Society and Director of Post -Graduation Update Course of Peritoneal Dialysis, 13 Edition, 2021
