About Cécile Courivaud

Prof. Cécile Courivaud, is rank A professor of universities in nephrology, MD, PHD, and clinical practionner in nephrology dialysis and transplantation.

She is in charge of the dialysis sector (in center hemodialysis, self-dialysis, home hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis) of the Universitary Hospital of  Besançon.  Being a researcher empowered to supervise research, she also maintains clinical activities in the field of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation.

Her main areas of interest are currently:

- "Personalized" dialysis through the promotion of incremental dialysis and a better characterization of the fragile status and its impact on the future of cohorts of dialysis patients.

- She is the promoter of a national Hospital Project of Clinical Research founded by government (PHRC) called Qualifragilys (inclusions in progress) which is a randomized controlled study on incremental hemodialysis (HD) versus conventional HD in incident fragile patients

- Promotion of patient autonomy within the various dialysis techniques with expertise in the field of PD and daily low flow HD at home.

She is a member of the French Society of Nephrology Dialysis and Transplantation (SFNDT), and member of good practices committee of the RDPLF.
